On 1st September 2020, Fitzdares, the world’s finest bookmaker, opened a permanent private club in the heart of Mayfair. Davies Street is the spiritual home of bookmakers. Today, it’s home to a sports club offering comfort and luxury over two floors.
TMTV were delighted to work with the Fitzdares team to design and install a smart AV system. Helping to transform the oldest pub in Mayfair into a beautiful private member space.
The club has a restaurant, bar, private dining rooms, and a dedicated Racing room. There’s even a fine selection of custom-made chess and backgammon boards to play. They are located in the games room for those wanting a break from the sporting action.
State Of The Art Audio Visual System Design- What You See
State of the art audio-visual equipment and 4K HD sports streams in the club every day. This includes the most significant events, from Royal Ascot to the Champions League and those 4 am Vegas Prize fights. Additionally, with discrete ceiling speakers and slimline commercial-grade TVs wall-mounted in each room – This is about all the tech you will see.
State Of The Art Smart AV System Design – Behind The Scenes
Behind the scenes, our team designed and installed the club’s entire cable infrastructure, which runs inconspicuously through the old Running Horse pub walls. The design of the Audio-Visual system serves multiple media sources from Sky to Apple TV and Music, all controlled from a simple iPad app. No money changes hands in the club. Customers place bets on the Fitzdares app, and live chat allows clients to connect with a highly trained broker who will respond in seconds. For this project, we selected Control4 as the core control system and all hardware, including Sky boxes and routers, are wired back to a rack housed in a private comms area of the club.
It Will Never Be The Same
Online betting has supercharged the gambling industry in recent times. And yet despite the pandemic, one of the oldest bookmakers has forged a different approach by offering its members a welcome retreat to come together in person and watch live sport in luxurious surroundings.
People who love sport will undoubtedly appreciate the personal service that Fitzdares have sought to provide. The Fitzdares Mayfair club was a fun project for TMTV to deliver. We’re excited to be already consulting with the team about their next venture in The Cotswolds!
